They are good trucks, no they are not a cummins but hey when you need a truck you need a truck. I have owned a few powerstrokes as well as a few other die hard cummins owners on here have owned a few too. So if you need some help ask away, I am sure there is help here for you while you are in {that other brand} . Goodluck,,Rick

Dont go by way of the diesel stop...... they will try to convert you to the dark side...... maybe soon you can join most of the rest of us and own a CTD. Good luck with your truck. From what I hear, that should be a good truck and last you a long time.

Congrats on the purchase. I know the site I am on has lots of powerstroke owners, and they rave on them all the time. Good dependable year as well.

I might be able to come up with a set of shop manuals for your truck, the last one I owned and worked on was a 97 non intercooled and for the most part they are the same truck. If interested I will attempt to dig thru my junk at the shop and find them if you do your own work?? Let me know, Goodluck,,Rick

Congratulations

Hey Zuk, just FYI i have a buddy with a 1997 with over 320K on the clock and it still runs well.. MIND YOU its completely stock though... Im sure yours will be really dependable though, congratulation on your purchase.... and best of luck.. U certainly did better than an idi, or a 6.5 chevy..

Congradulations! Should be a good truck. My cousin has a 94 powerstroke, and it seems to be a good truck. Enjoy the new Diesel You need to go ahead and add a chip to that list. You need something to spice it up a little.
