As long as there is no water and the container is tightly sealed it will last until well after everyone on this board and their grandchildren are dead.

No air = long time.
Air (and/or water) = anyone's guess.

Filled to the brim and with some additive,.............. longer than you!

I had about 50 gallons in an aluminum tank (250 gal job tank) sit for about 8mos. It grew some kinda hair like mold or something. Im not sure it didnt take on some water from a leaky or loose cap or even condensation. This has happened before on our old D3 cat tank as well, but it coulda been contaminated from the ground tank. Why would you wana store diesel long enough to worry anyhow?

No problem then.

P.S. If the container it is stored in is full with no empty space for air to sit you will have less problems with condensation forming. Make sure no water gets in but also make sure it is vented. Additives never hurt either.
