A friend has a 250 hp 3116 cat/6spd allison in a 95 C8500. Does anyone know what pump it has and how to turn it up or what hotrod fuel mods are available? What hp and egt is safe for that 3116 with a stock turbo? TIA! Craig

 

To adjust the rack on a 3116, you'd need special Cat tools. I'd stay under 300hp on it. They dont have the best reputation for staying together.

 

neverenufhp is right, I work for a cat dealer and you do need special tooling. if it's mechanical or ecm controlled and if its ecm controlled a 3116 can take 330 but this is a fire/rescue hp rating only. so cats gotta by the you now what!!
