Help big time
Help big time
New guy here and great forum you all have here ! I need some help big time I Need a one ton dully for rv-ing in near future , Have found an 04 / build date was 11-03 with only 23k miles one owner, in amazing shape , new tires, just serviced, and clean car fax ,wants $23k for, or should I hold out and get the 2011 ?????? man do I need advice, am struggling hard, feel like piece of rope in tug of war, what say you pro's grab the 04 ? or go new? thanks in advance !

Thats a loaded question my friend. Comparing a new to an older truck is going to be pared down to creature comforts and having the new truck with all the emissions controls. While the 6.7 in the new rigs will be a good bump in power stock to stock, you can fix that with a few mods to the older rig. That being said, the 6 spd and exhaust brake are a nice feature to tow with.
I am sure that doesn't help..

Auto or stick on the 04? The reason I ask is a stick is easier to add an exhaust brake to.. The auto is adaptable as well.
The emissions suck on the new units. however the EB and 6 spd auto is nice!

Well thank you for feed back, after much debate, we decided to go with the 04, just to sweet of deal, its the auto, will have to research the vin a little more , happy with the out come, as she will be my first diesel, she has just such low miles and was so clean, own by elderly couple, who took very good care of her, she should meet our needs just fine and do all we need her to, will try to post some photos soon, again thanks for help !
