There is NO WAY I'd ever put gas in my diesel. Last winter we had temps down to -44 C and I had no problems with fuel gelling or starting problems. The VP is a ticking time bomb as it is and running a solvent (gas) through it cannot be good.

I recall this as well from chemistry. The mixing of gasoline and diesel lowers the flash point below the flash points of the individual liquids.
