Has anyone been tank dipped with 2 stroke oil ?
Usually they will send your fuel to a lab if it's any color other than onroad diesel color.
They are very wise to all the ways people try to cheat with offroad, like by turning it black with waste motor oil to mask the red.
They won't issue a citation until the the lab results come back if you're running offroad.

And yes, farm fuel theft is a problem... but so is everything else from cat converters to copper wiring.
Where in NORCAL did this happen? I've lived here for going into my 6th decade and have yet to be dipped nor do I know anyone else that got dipped. And you got it twice?

Now that's funny!
If you don't have a blenders license waste motor oil will get you the same fine as red fuel. After all you didn't pay road tax to burn the waste motor oil on the hwy and that is all they care about.
Emissions laws are that no waste oil can be burned taxed or not.
I guess the government (or somebody) makes more money "recycling" oil - whatever THAT means, if using it for fuel is not recycling. Think of the energy consumed to "recycle" that oil and compare that to the emissions it produces when burnt in a diesel engine.
Yes. Happens all the time. Even on the rice burners. The platinum/palladium? coating is worth big $$.
A local church had all its copper wiring stolen all the way out to the street on three different trips!
Now that's low.

Wow man, that is low. Them guys'll get what they're asking for though. I can honestly say I'm glad I don't live where you live!
They even took into account using it for fuel for ships at sea that aren't under any emissions laws.
I read a study done by the military, who generates millions of gallons of waste oil, that said by far the most cost effective way to deal with waste oil is to refine it back into clean motor oil.

I wonder about that too....
The centrifugally filter the used oil. The article I read said it cost 90% less money to clean the oil vs make new stuff.
I haven't kept up with biodiesel tax laws for awhile but it used to be you were allowed to make 300 gallons a year federal tax free for personal use.
Every state has it's own tax laws about BD but most want you to pay road tax.
It sort of sucks when you think about the electric and hybrid cars that don't pay road tax.
