Exclamation Gas Catching Diesel!!

Now, I know there is a lot of crying about fuel prices lately. I too need a tissue to dry my eye at the pump.

It's official (in the Mid Atlantic reigion that is). 87 Octane has caught up to and is HIHGER than # 2 at most stations. Last Thursday I had to get out and take a picture of the Flying J sing because they were both showing @1.27 9/10 a gallon. (it's my desktop for now).

Going to the bank today I took notice that almost ALL of the stations were posting around $2.39 for Gas and 2.41 for Diesel.
I'm not "happy" about this apparent trend, but think it is long over due that the gassers get ripped like we have been for the last almost two years.
Any thoughts?

Diesel (depending on where you buy) has been cheaper than gas here for quite some time now.

diesel has been hovering around 96.9 per liter , while 87 octane has been 98.9 or higher , but diesel at some stations is going for 103.9 , it depends onwhere you buy.

We haven't seen @2.17 since about May.

Kinda annoying how there really isn't any true rhyme or reason to the pricing geographically (aside from taxes obviuosly). I can understand California's situation with the smog and all. Over here we are just destroying the nations largerst estuary with pollution (Chesapeake Bay). The Marinas are up over $3.00 a gallon, I guess that can be expected with the unique storage needs and all.

Put 19.5 gallons in on the way to work today.
$50 bucks and change, it'll last me a week if I drive the truck everyday.

Yesterday I filled up the motorcycle on the way to work, it was sitting on about 1/4 tank,
also bought a 20oz Diet Coke to cool off after the ride to work,
gave the counter jockey 10 bucks and I got 2 bucks back and change.
It'll also last a week if I ride it every day.

Diesel was $2.599.
Can't remember for sure, but Supreme for the scooter was around $2.40, maybe $2.399.

I've ridden the scooter more this year than any of the 7 years I've had it.

Here in Valparaiso, In, which is about 45 miles from chicago, gas yesterday was $2.559 and diesel is $2.359. Finally diesel is cheaper than gas but diesel is still WAY too expensive!

I am removing firegin objects from my rear today.... got fuel yesterday @ 2.25 pump cut me off at 50 giving me 3/4 tank, anyway I was in a hurry and didn't want to do another transaction, said fill up tomorrow (today) same station $2.39

But there is a good side...... Old truck was a 03 Ram 1500 that got 9 around town, I now get 16 around town and with 7500 mile oil change the 3500 is cheaper to run and I feel better driving it
