Funny CTD Pictures
I think he meant it was repowered with a Cummins.
I didn't get a pic, but a couple of summers ago, I saw a Nissan truck that had a home made stack made out of 1-1/2" (maybe) galvanized pipe. Had him some elbows and a few long peices cut and threaded. It came out under the bed behind the passengers door, along the outside of the bed. You could see it had been affected by heat and surely there was a ton a back pressure added. It was parked so i don't know what it may have sounded like, other than crap.
.... but it has a Cummins
under the hood!! i've seen other pictures of it...
Im with you on that one. I dont care how high fuel prices get, you wont find me in one of those clown cars.
Except for the whole "RAM 2500" logo. I have 7 2nd gens.. They all have paddle door handles.
Well, a girl at my work just got a Smart Car last week and drove it in to show us (she's not the hippie type nor did she buy it for environmental reasons). It sure did attract a lot of people to it. I checked it out and went for a ride. Those suckers have A LOT of room for 2 people! Lots of legroom so you can sit very comfortably. A 6'2" guy should have no problems. It definitely feels like you're driving a small car when you're inside but it doesn't feel as small as it looks. When you get out you're like, wha?? I was riding in that thing? In the short block we drove everyone we passed by turned to look at us. lol... As far as the engine, it feels kinda like a quad engine. It's an automatic, but you lift up on the gas pedal a little in order for it to shift (at least that's what I got out of it). It's a little 1.0L engine, meaning that the entire engine is the size of ONE cylinder in my Cummins.
The whole car weighs about 1600 pounds curb. Overall, it wasn't as bad as I thought. It's literally a golf cart and I see it as one. I wouldn't want to get that as my primary vehicle, but for getting around congested cities it makes sense if you have money to blow; just don't go on the freeway.
It made me realize just how BIG cars are here in America. Compared to it, even the Honda Fit looked enormous and that's considered tiny.

In here, let's just say a 200 series Volvo is and was a big car. And now days the Volvo S80 is the big premium class sedan in here.
But once again... When driving that 240 station wagon next to a Caprice wagon you noticed how small that volvo really is...
Well anyway, at least we have semi trucks in here so everything isn't that small. And the total Gross combined weight rating for semis is 65tons/143k lbs in here so my Dodge still feels a toy to me.
