Fuel pre filter!

I read a maintenance list posted on the Cummins web site at http://www.cummins.com/cmi/content.j...30&menuIndex=5
It stated that the B series deisel engine is required to have a filter before the lift pump. This is a requirement from Cummins. Are not the engines in our trucks classified as B models? A pre filter would probably help with the lift pumps longivity some.

The B series are the 12 V's and the ISB's are the 24V's.

There is a prefilter on the 12V's:

The prefilter in the 24 valve is in the tank. The fuel is filtered between the tank and the cannister that the pickup is in.
