fuel filter questions

I am looking at putting an inline filter from edelbrock to use for my L tank that is plumped into the factory tank. Is there a difference in filters from a gas to a diesel? It has a 10 micron ratings. I just want a little filtration from the L tank. The filter doesnt specify gas or diesel, so i was just wondering if it mattered.

Thanks
MAC

if they are those little inline cartridge ones with the metal screen, it makes no difference. when you get into the larger filters, i think there are differences, but mostly in the micron rating [ie, you could use a gas fuel filter on diesel, but it isn't a fine enough micron rating for a secondary/final diesel hp system]

Watch for the water separation rating....Some (most) diesel fuel filters will.

Gas filters don't usually separate water.
