sorry if this is not supposed to be posted, but I am in no way afiliated with this company. I was looking thru a back issue of the "farmshow" magizine and saw an ad for this company out of Lakeville MN. it is www.frozenrotors.com. they cryogenitically freeze brake rotors for longer, more efficiant brake wear. I really think I might go with a set of these if I can sqauble up the $$$. they are $121 a piece for the standard frozen{there is acouple different kinds} but the readings on this is very interesting, you really need to check this out. and All the TDR members and Pavementsucks members who Know ALPHACOWBOY is from Lakeville MN and he has been PMed by me for some more info on the company. {moderators please do not delete, I just wanted to get this info out into the public as we all know to well that our brakes on our trucks are about as good as our steering, and Again, I am in NO way afiliated with this company}shawn
I haven't done a comparison but there are a lot of places that are freezing there metal parts , racing , guns, and there are a lot of places doing the freezing , so it may be cheaper to get the best price on what you want and have a relationship with one of the cyro places .
I know that my brakes are coming up and now you got me thinking about anouther place to spend $$$ , I hate it when I do that .

There's a number of things , one is that every step in make a metal part puts stress's into that part , so what the cyro does is relax the metal, then less likly to warp when you put heat back into it [ braking ] easyer to machine after cyro also, then you can get realy technical and look at how the molicues change and rearange them selfs , just a users experance's reading up on stuff to mod , mostly gun stuff so far .

(Did I say that?)It's like heat treating, in that it makes parts stronger, but it does alot different job without brittleness (tendancy to shatter) for an example. Metalurgy is a whole new science.
