frantz filter users

what brands of tp work for your frantz filter? i have tried scott 1000 but the tube is too big.

Dad used them in the early 60s when tp rolls were smaller and they fit the frantz. I'd find some 0-rings to stack on the center tube. Also 1 1/2" copper pipe is 1 5/8 od - I think that's what you need. Craig

I go to a restaurant supply and buy them by the case. You can probably do the same thing by going though Sam's or a similar club. There's 96 in a box!

I'd have to go out and look at the brand and check the size. The rolls are a tad too big in diameter. Simply unroll some of the paper until it fits in the canister with an "interference fit". I use a 3" PVC reducer to press the roll entirely into the can. The length of the roll is not critical, the oil flows from end to end and a fraction of an inch has no impact.

I use a "triple stacker" and then into a single to filter waste oil for fuel.

I use Scott 1000's. Just unwind several rounds until the roll fits. I reduce the size of the roll until it fits in there snug. Also, I don't use the metal ring.
