It not a factory Ford, but a Ford with twins none the less. It's in this months Diesel Power mag, actually the PSD was fairly impressive. The second turbo on it is MASSIVE!, I can only imagine the lag it is has, however it may not be street driven...

the ford turbos are going to be built by borg-warner...the first turbo
(the smaller one) is used to spool up the larger turbo...both for emission reasons and a very quik spool up. chevy is going to this settup in 2010...nissan is putting this same settup in the titan...dont remember when though....

on TDS.com, that it is rumored and i use the term lightly, that the computer will be encrypted to avoid power programers... seems to me there will be some code breakin involved somehow as well.. if this is the future for all diesels.. THANK GOD i have a 12V!

I can see it now. Some rich kid goes out and buys the truck to say that he is running 400 hp and 1000 tq stock. Try and get him to go start it for you and it blows up it to flames and Ford is sued. Could make a good made for T.V. movie " Death of the PowerStroke Diesel". I'll watch it.

So the way V8 Ford twins are set up would be similar to a Cummins twin set up?

I ask because I was watching extreme4x4 tv or something like that and the diesel God himself Gayle Banks was there installing his twins on a 7.3. Each intake had it's own charger and they were both the same size. Made sense to me but what do I know?
And speaking of Gayle Banks he made some comments on that show that really ****** me off. He came across as an arrogant a-hole that's for sure.

Nope

turbos on a new ford i believe are piggy back as well, like our cummins, a smaller charger feedin into a large one.. IE more problems with an already troublesome engine... Im still curious as to that encryptor....

They will just have one more turbo to replace everytime an injector pukes . That 6.0 is the biggest hunk there is. The 7.3 was a great motor, but the 6.0 will never be good for anything but a boat anchor. I dont care how fast the turbo spools. It does that motor no good since it is dead until 2k rpm's anyway. Plus ill just spend the $500 for an HT3B, add a little fuel, and a built tranny, and say bye bye to any stroke you will ever find on the street

Some high performance cars are set up like that... Several Porches, maybe others.

And Gayle always comes off like that. And therefore i would never buy one of his products. I have heard him straight up bashing Edge. As in describing the product (obviously the Attitude) and then pointing out the shortcomings...

Read the other day about a so called " Ford Engineer " talking about the secret twin motor and said the Dodge flat out pulls it but the tow ratings are higher with Ford because of their integrated brake controller . Considering the fact that it is opinion on the internet I don't put much stock in the validity of fact but it sure makes you wonder . Just think of all the brand loyal blue oval boys standing in line to buy the new lemon with inflated #'s thinking they can outpull anything on the road . That is till they see my silver Dodge dually passing them on a hill with 14,000 lbs in tow !!!
