Silly Ford Owners

I was out at one of my units doing an inspection on their ammunition section and armory. The ammo chief and I had finished his inspection and went outside for a smoke. He had to get his from his truck and I noticed that he was driving a F-350 P/S. Couldn't see the door from where I was standing so I asked him if it was a 7.3 or 6.ohno. 6.0 he said. We got to talking about trucks (fellow diesel heads unite) and he was talking about the deal he got. It all sounded good until the remark about 'plus, it's got twin turbos.' This I had to see. We walk back to his truck and he pops the hood. Hmmmmm.... I only see one. He points to the intercooler pipes coming from each side of the radiator and say 'see, one there, and one there.' Trying hard to contain my laughter, I pointed out the turbo on the back of the engine. Sorry only one, those are the intercooler pipes. Guess just because they buy them doesn't mean that they know what they are talking about (and this doesn't apply to only Ferd drivers either). My CTD may be my first diesel, but with any vehicle I've owned over the years, I knew what was what on them (for the most part, don't get me started on smog equipment).

Sounds like another score for the sales crew at another truck dealer.

I was thinking the same thing I don't know why some of those sales guys don't just say, "I am not certain about that, but I will find out for you" that adds SO MUCH more credibility in my opinion.

Maybe Ferd has started hiding extra turbos so they can keep up with the CTDs on the road!

If the salesman looks like this:

You should expect to see both turbo's and the Flux Capacitor!

Rich.

I think what the salemen said was "It has twin turbo fed intercooler tubes" One going in and one going out.

I was reading a thread on here where a member purchased a stroke for his hauling and drives the ram for casual.

Hmmm. What reason did they give for that?? I would have guessed it to go the other way around, unless they fell in love with the torqueshift or something? Perhaps the crew cab option for the whole family?? To each their own. Not my choice, but heaven has laughed at my decisions on a regular basis, too!
