ford 6.7 the new 6.0
Has anyone been keeping up with whats happening over at the powerstoke side? some of the guys are calling it the new 6.0 .looks like fords got there hands full with engines problems ,blowing up ,dropping valves and $12,000 fuel system repairs from water getting in ,and not being covered under warr. some of the engines have only had 5000 miles on them. sure hope they get this under control, bummer to pay that much for a truck and have that happen.I like the new fords and hoped this new engine would be a winner

My buddy Carlton, the feller who is single handedly responsible for my introduction to this fine place, which became my biggest addiction, has defected.
Last week he bought himself a 2012 F350 Lariat with the 6.7
Its a really nice truck. Looks great, rides great, interior is outstanding and really comfortable. The 6.7 has an impressive amount of power. I really like the truck, and it would be my second choice to my Ram.
We shall see how it holds up.

none of ours have ever had programmers and all service work has been performed by dealerships... we have scattered every engine atleast once, piles of turbos, injection pumps, transfer pumps, CAC lines, oil leaks, fuel leaks, transmissions....
Needless to say, it has not been a painless transition from the GM's we were running...

We've got a few at work, one with the most miles just crossed over 20k and is on turbo #2, along with 2 others. 2 other trucks had trans shift problems (nothing catastrophic) and another I was left stranded in becuase of "low fuel pressure". We've only got 8 trucks, so almost all of them have had a problem but very nice running rigs when all is well. These are 450 c+c with utility bodies on them, but our bucket truck is an 04 6.0 and has had less problems then any one of the new trucks so far.
