One of the local landscaping guys I know just bought a new F350. He's raced the other landscaper with an older 6.0 no, and got his tail handed to him. Both trucks are stock, but the new SD is heavy. He's raced me, he had a length on me until I hit lockup on 3rd, then I pulled away from him, and my buddies stock D-Max will eat him up. I 've run the Durry a few times, once I get rollin I'll catch him, dang slushbox. The 98' will beat him hands down though.

Ah buyer beware. I'd get him to video his dash with no CEL...

Anyone try it yet?

I think there's something wrong with his turbo cool down timer.

Well, heh, I was considering crewcab long box f-350 and Excursion but I couldn't get over two facts:
1:It is a Ford.
2:Engines are crap, or at least sound like one.

My opinion: Bring back the 7.3. A 7.3 in that body style would be sweet.

Otherwise, my question is: is this the future of diesel's? If so, it looks pretty bleak if you ask me.

I heard a pop and a bang just before it died in the first video (or was shut down not sure) Thought I saw some parts come out the tail pipe but it could have been my eyes playing tricks on me

All kidding aside I thought it sounded OK, not my cup of tea but to each his own...Only the man making the payments has to like it anyway

One thing about the new ford is the Piezo injectors. There are incredible technology developed by Siemens (and also by Bosch a bit later).

The Piezo injectors are the injectors of the future, for both gas AND diesel-- The precision they afford is awesome.

Of course, this is gonna make a new set of Don M's pretty dang expensive!

I bet the way he got around the CEl light is the same way we used to do it on obd2 cars u get a flange made that goes in teh O2 sensor housing that pushes the sensor out of the pipe but alows it to get a reading just not much that way it thinks that all is well.

Truck couldn't even make a slight scratching sound when he took off. Weak. I hear the 6.7's will make quite a footprint on take off
