exhaust/stack pics , looking for thread...

Way back , up to 9/10 months ago there was a thread here somewhere with pics of different stack setups on it , but now i don't know where it went , one pic was of a black 2ng gen (dually i think) with the exhaust run under the rocker panel , almost like a tube step.

anyone know where that thread/pic went? I have a buddy with a 1st gen lookin to do that kind of setup , but he cannot put any holes in the bed.

I'd bet that it was a custom made setup. airflowonline.com sells exhaust components to make stacks......

Oh i am very sure it was home made , but i am lookinf for that pic so i can show him what it looks like before he sinks a whole bunch of money into it , if he doesn't go with this idea , i think he is going to use a full 4" straight system , and maybe a bhaf.

This isn't a thread but it does have a pic of what you were asking about. Hope this helps.

those things resonate like crazy unless you have a muffler i had my exhaust dumped before the rear tire while i was waiting for my stacks to come in. it was the most abnoxious sound ever vibrated the whole truck and the wheel was always completley black

I'm not a huge fan of stacks, but I have to admit those side pipe kits on that website look pretty cool. Other than looks though, I don't really see what they accomplish other than creating a good place for some kid to get 3rd degree burns on his hands.

I'm not crazy about having a side exhaust coming out in front of my duals. It's awfully hot and I don't want tire damage. stacks, I like, but I don't need a dual. Single is just fine. But where's the muffler?

side pipes

I'm new to this site but it looks real promising. I just bought my first diesel, 91 2500. A friend of mine had a 6" chrome stack that he made into a side pipe. All he did was put about a 25 degree bend in a section of pipe and attach that to the factory pipe and then welded the stack onto it. It wasn't parallel with the body like a true side pipe but it still looked real sweet. Of course he also had the problem of keepin that tire clean.

I would be interested in seeing a second gen. with the stacks on the outside of the bed. With the tool boxes in the bed, I don't have the room to put the stacks inside the bed. Anybody have any pictures?
