Engine Hours Vs. Mileage

Just wondering what some you guys are getting engine hours vs. miles???

Right now I'm averaging 30 mph Of course I warm it up in the mornings since its cold, so I hope that my average will improve with warmer weather...

Looks like I'll be putting in 200 hours to a 7500 miles oil change...Any thoughts on that??

I usually get around 60-70 mph but live in the wide open spaces, only warm up long enough to let the oil pressure come up and rarely idle.
I use miles rather than hours to change oil and shoot for 8-10k miles.

At 16793 miles I had 519 hours so that brings me to 32.36 average miles per hour. I have been doing 5k mile oil changes and I've been averaging 151 hours to an oil change. I am switching to amsoil 15w40 after this oil change and going to 20k oil changes or 1 year. At the rate I am going at 340,000 miles I should have 10,600 hours on the motor.

Interesting thread. My neighbor had a Ford tractor with 3300 hours on it. He wanted me to figure out how many miles his hours equated too. I figured it out and I think I posted it on TDR.

I am at 87,500 mile and I am at 2700 hours. That puts me at 32.4 miles per hour. I don't know if that is good or bad.

I've got a a 41mph average.

If it was real low mph average, I would be more concerned about the oil change interval based off hours rather than miles.

I just checked mine, it has been a while since I checked it. Average exactly 30.009 miles per engine hour. At least 60% of my driving is stop and go Houston traffic, so I guess I make up for some of it on the highway.

All depends on how much city/hiway driving you do. I change mine in the summer at 150-175 hours max(towing), winter synthetic 200-250 hours averages.

In the first 1000 hrs of operation my truck traveled 68150 kms or 42345 miles for an average speed of 42.345 mph. It took me 643 days to accumulate the first 1000 hours.

Think it's only the 3rd gens that have the hourmeter feature.
I added one under the hood that runs when the shutdown solenoid is powered up.
This is what I used http://www.surpluscenter.com/item.as...-1238&catname=
