EGV and particulate filter issues?

Just bought a new 09 3500 with the new 6 speed auto. Had friends who bought the same truck in 07 when the first 6.7s came out and had a lot of issues with the particulate filter clogging and they had to bring thier trucks in several times. Does anyone have a new one and can anyone tell me if this issue has been improved? I do understand all the diesel trucks (big three) have these issues.

The easier you drive the truck the more likely you will have those issues. There have been improvements made in the O2 sensors and turbo but the problem remains. Drive with the EB on all the time and don't drive like a Grandma..

Oh yeah, unplug that EGR and your mileage will go up and you won't have to worry about all that soot getting pumped back into the engine. There will still be a bit of soot that gets in but not nearly as much as you are getting now.

Ask your questions in the 6.7 section and you will get more answers.....
