so what did he win in his lawsuit? A cummins?

Price tag doesn't always mean superior product.

that is too funny! Cummins 'inferior' to the d-max! anyone else notice his little slip when he called the d-max a cummins? i agree that he had things stacked in favor of himself in this case. heck i wouldnt doubt it if he was running low on coolant to begin with.

I bet the dodge was a older retired guy just sittin at half throttle not even knowing the dmax was trying to catch him with the dmax at full throttle and 3000 rpms. And it makes me think the dodge was stock or close to it because u never see any haze of smoke at all.

I dont think anyone here is planning on getting a d-max and if the do that is a bad move on there part!!
How can you say that? Have you ever towed with, or even driven, a Duramax? I traded my Dodge for one a little over a year ago, and its been a fantastic truck so far. Its been in for warranty work once, an EGR valve, but otherwise no problems at all. In my opinion, the truck is superior in every way to the Dodge I owned. And by the way, I was happy with my CTD too, in fact, I often miss it. I needed a REAL crew cab with a long bed, and Dodge doesn't make one.

The LLY Duramaxes did have problems with overheating, but not all of them, and there is a fix for it. I also agree that that man stacked the odds against the truck as much as he could.
