Well it looks like Spring is really here,,,,,, at least on the east coast anyway.

WOW!!!!! The DTR TOM Poll is here.
And it's posted on the 15th.
And there's three, count 'em, three evenly matched vehicles to choose from......
And they said the "Age Of Miracles" is dead.......

The past few days of warmth has spoiled some of us.
Rain and COLD weather making one last (hopefully) appearance before Spring comes to stay.

The last three days have been in the 80’s here in VA and our trucks got a much needed bath. Dennis spent the last couple days working on the Brown Bear (his Harley) in anticipation of giving RATTLIN a little break on driving him back and forth to work. At least until the time comes when the AC becomes a much needed relief on the ride home when the temps are in the 90’s.

Once again we need to remind you folks who haven’t got any pictures in your DTR Member Photo Gallery , to upload some with the truck looking good. It doesn’t have to be super clean, super mean or piled full of accessories,,, just some good pictures of what your rig looks like.

We would also like to thank Keith Livingstone for all he has done in the past to sponsor the TOM plaques, but as you may have read in one of his posts, he is no longer able to help us out at this time. Too many irons in the fire and I think we all know how that goes,, we’ve all been there a time or two. Good luck to you Keith!

There will be a Poll posted on the 15th of the month showing three thumbnail pics of the chosen trucks. By clicking on the thumbnail,,, you will see a larger picture of the truck. The owner's name will also be a link to their Profile Page where you can see the Truck Mods they have listed and also the link to their Gallery.

*NOTE* Now would be a good time to go into your profiles and make sure you have your Truck Mods listed. You can do this by clicking at the top of the page and then Edit Profile to put your info in. Nominees are chosen by the TOM committee based on category for that month and forum participation.

The winner of the poll will be posted as the Truck of the Month in the General Diesel section on the 1st of the following month, at which time we will send a PM/email notifying them and asking for their info so they can receive their plaque.

Awesome trucks this month, I liked the Alberta truck, but I had to go with my fellow college student, nice to see 2 Texas trucks in here though.

 

The TOM Committee scans through the Member Photos and pick out random trucks that fit a chosen category. It may be 1st Gen 250 one month, 3rd Gen 3500 DRW the next, or even trucks pulling trailers, etc. After each one of us has picked a nominee for the poll, we will check their profile to see the truck mods listed, how many infractions they have and may even scan through their previous posts to see how they interact with other members. We don't look at the quantity of the posts, but the quality. The truck doesn’t have to be super clean, super mean or piled full of accessories,,, just some good pictures of what your rig looks like.

The bottom line is,,,,,, you have to have the pictures in your Photo Gallery in order for us to find them. It's really surprising how many signatures describe some really great looking candidates and then we look to see that there are no pictures in their Gallery.

So let's get busy out there for all you folks that haven't uploaded any pics yet,,,,,, Please make our job a little easier,,,,,
