Drove my buddies 08 Duramax Dually...

Impressed.... Nice truck in crew cab, DRW and 2wd.

It was optioned nicely seems like it had everything besides leather and sunroof.

The dang thing had some power even with only 430 miles on it.... It pulled hard off the line. Thing was quick.

He said he was getting something like 12mpg???? And I asked him about re-gen and he didn't know what I was talking about.

Nice truck although I like my truck better .

It's his work beater and he's gonna put pull a GN with it. I'll check back with him to see how it goes. He'll be pulling heavy long distances plus around town for his construction job.... It won't be treated nice.

Yeah, I have to admit I was impressed by my buddies 08 QCSB LMM. He has his pretty well loaded with leather, 4wd, etc. We took a 3 hour trip in it and it was very comfortable! Doesn't ride as well on dirt roads though with that IFS. Had plenty of power too!

I was always a chevy guy until 03. After 02 the cateye front end just turned me way off. The new ones with what appears to be some third grader styling are just hideous looking. Yes they still ride nice, but I will take my old lumber wagon any day.

I'm not a Chevrolet guy myself. My friend and his wife got rid of their '03 DRW for a '06 Duramax. They complain the milage is much, much worse. They used it to go to work (they both work at the same place), and tow a three-horse with 15-foot living quarters trailer with a GN. I will acknowledge that the new truck pulls better than the older one, from running behind them on the highway at least. And, I really like the allison transmission. But, when I look under their hood, I'll bet there must be three times the amount of components than under my hood. It's like a box-o-parts in there!

Yeah he didn't pop the hood for me, but that's what I've heard about the ford and chevy.

The chevy style has actually kinda grown on me, but wouldn't be my first choice.

I bought the CTD engine and the truck came with it. Have to give it to Ford, the 08 SD looks awesome and the interior fo the King Ranch is top notch! However, they will have to get rid of that Navistar engine.

I've just recently started driving an 05 2500HD/Dmax at my new job. It pulls pretty good and will even smoke a little, but it sure aint my CTD. Dmax is a good stock motor as much as I hate to say it. I'll never buy one though. Wife is a chebby nut so she may end up getting one some day but I will make sure my CTD is always faster (not hard to do lol)

I sat in a new Ford this year... If I'm not mistaken, it was real leather, no... ALL real leather seats. That's the only thing that upset me with mine- I paid for leather trimmed seats.

Wasn't there a poll on this recently?...I seem to remember that.
IMO...the 08 SooperDooty is the WORST looking truck ever produced & the headlights are absolutely hideous!!!

ive always been some what of a ford fan, even after i bought my ctd. but the 08's are almost as ugly as the new chevys. if the haed lights werent ugly enough, they definatly killed it by putting superduty on it 15 bagillion times.

Seems like the Fords & Chevys are $5-10k more out the door than similar Dodge. Futher, their mileage is way worse. Futher, they do not seem to haul heavy loads like a Dodge. Did I mention they both have had serious engine issues, although Ford seems to have won that race?
Ford does make nice interiors and Gas motors, for a price. I think their newer diesl is some better, but I think I have read they still have issues.

I love my old reliable cummins, but the LBZ with just the 80hp bully dog tune on it ran 13.9 in the 1/4, and I get 22mpg at 75mph with the thing. Its a nice long haul truck, and makes rediculas power very easy.
