Yea they are nice riders. I actually did like my GMC a lot but the prospects of the injectors going turned me off. The first two years were horrendous for injector failures. With the Dodge the aftermarket and the work is much easier to deal with than those V8s.

I agree with anabelle...The Duramax I have driven hauling a skid steer and tandem dually trailer was always searching for a gear. It was pretty annoying to drive.

When I bought my 07 dodge, I test drove them all. The ford had zero power down low but up top (3000 rpms and higher), that 6.0 took off. Horrible powerband for me. I then test drove the 3500 chevy with auto on a dually and that thing ripped. I would spin the tires on take off. The dodge was a stick but it fel sluggish compared to the chevy. If the chevy would have been closer in price, I would have purchased the chevy. It had a real crew cab, rode much nicer, and the auto was nice. Not saying I hate my dodge because I dont, but the chevy was hard to beat.

For my new truck, it will be the dodge 4500 for sure.

I was gonna add that in my post, as well... as many of us like to work on our own vehicles, a dmax can be a nightmare. I did a lil work on my buddy's, and under the hood was a complete mess of wires and everything else packed in there, he had problems with the injector harness, and once ya found the wires, they were buried, and not very long (which was the problem to begin with). I pity anyone who attempts any major work on those things. I like to see my driveway showing when I look into the engine bay

Well me and my brother get to attempt this before too long. My 05 dmax is getting some injectors, so that should be interesting.

They ride smooth, have lots of power, not much turbo lag.

I think you are spoiled by bombed cummins.
