Anyone remember this "Blast from the Past"?

Topic: New Ford 6.0 sightings!

Hopefully they'll get all the bugs worked out.

100hp chip, 4"exhaust w/5"tip,TC, wastegate controller tube.

Note- now we have a custom chip on it so the mpg will be more. ;D

Gotcha, SD03
I just used a Superchips 1705 tuner and have noticed a little better gas mileage, but I'm still on my 1st tank, so it's hard to tell. Did the exhaust mod help?
All: please don't crucify me for talking PSD on a CTD site! :-[

Re:drove a 6.0 PSD the other day

Yes the Exhaust helped lower the EGTs you can feel a difference in spool up and raised milage like 2mpg. You can really hear the turbo spooling up too its sounds sweet. theres a guy that owns a tow truck comany that bought a 5" exhaust turbo back from us and he said when pulling the cars it really helps. It sounds freaky.

SD03

Re:drove a 6.0 PSD the other day

I dont know. I seen it and heard it and I sounds freaky but nice. Its on the 7.3L. With being a tow truck he is running about 5-almost 600 hp. Cause the bed with everything on it weighs ALOT. Plus when pulling some of these cars and trucks it takes alot. So they tried it and they like how it lower EGTs and quick spool.

SD03

Re:drove a 6.0 PSD the other day

has anyone seen the 7.3 psd with the old turbo diesel mechanical pump I have heard higher HP # out of them. Still not as high as a Cummins 8) but higher than most.

I do have one question. Why take a truck like that and spend a whole bunch of money to turn it up when you could buy a fl170 with better gearing. Do they pull trailers with these trucks? If I need 600hp I would sure not have a 1 ton truck are they f550?
DM01
