Drove a 2006 6.0hno Dually Today...

Wow are those things weak...

Feels like driving a gas truck...

You really have to step on the pedal to get it to move...

I'd never own one...

I hate ford

Well, the only reason I drove it is because the owner didn't even want to drive it out of the driveway

Seriously... Its a weak truck...

My buddies 7.3 is WAYYYYY more responsive than this one...

After I hopped back in the 12v, I was proud to be in a truck with a diesel engine - not a gasser thats modified to run off of diesel

If it was like that their is seriously something wrong!!! The 6.0 will blow the doors off a 7.3 if its hold together

i am not a ford fan at all. but our f450 at work is a darn nice/tuff truck. it pulls hard once it finally gets above 2 grand. which isn't that good to tow with, but minus the engine it is a solid truck.

Frankley one of my co-workers has a "good" '05 6.0, and he's planning on keeping it - he'd loose his shirt on resale if he sold it now. He's one of the luckey ones with 19k miles and no problems so far. his truck is really nice to drive, very responsive and smooth - but I'm not trading in a CTD for it.

Funny how when people speak of 6.0's they say no problems "so far" ....that's pretty bad!

No way... the thing was practically brand new...

The 7.3 feels a lot better than the 6.0...

It doesn't even feel like you're driving a diesel vehicle - more like a gas V8 in a Chevy...

Nice truck, just weak...

I have a 05 F-350 6.0 too and I has been great so far 25,000 Edge Juice with attitude instaled at 50 miles so far flawless. And it will blow the doors off of any moded 7.3 I have drove!!
06 Dodge 27,000 No problums "SO FAR"
The Ford is fast just driving it around but the Dodge out pulls it so bad it isn't funny

How can you bash the 6.0. It should have felt like a monster compared to your 12v. I don’t know any 12v with only a K&N and 5in that could hang with the 6.0.

got my first chance to meet a ford owner who hated their truck. went on a jobsite yesterday and with stacks and a bumper like mine my truck always gets a few glances from other truck lovers. this one fella came over and asked how i like it, then told me about his 01 dodge/cummins that he had until some girl rearended him and got stuck underneath, and her car caught fire and burnt his truck to the ground. He tried to drive off of it but his back wheels were off the ground and the fronts just didnt have enough traction.

well now he has an 03 6.0 ford that his company pays for and says he cant wait til they get him a new truck. its been in for turbos, headgasket, injectors, among other things, but he said its just gutless. it has no low end grunt to get a trailer moving like his cummins had.

I drive two different 2005 Lariat 6.0's for work. I can't stand either of them, to be honest. People that compare them to a gas engine seem to be right on track. They might have power... but after driving my 2007, they seem to have no power. If I had one word to describe them it would be "Gutless".

I don't really care if they're fast or not. My truck gets a 15,000lbs trailer moving a LOT easier than the Ford does.
