Question Don't know what to do????

Right now i have a 2001 quadcab shortbed with about $10,000 invested in goodies. But just recently the motor went south, for some reason #6 piston burnt up, so I am buying a used motor with around 80,000 miles. But I dont know if I want to keep my 2001 and keep my mods, or take the mods off and sell them and trade the truck in on a 2006. I want to keep my 2001 just because you dont see to many diesel's with 500+hp but then again a new truck might be better off. I dont know, what do you guys think i should do?

Thats a tough choice. I would say keep the 01 if its paid for and rebuild the engine. Shouldnt be too much to rebuild it. Plus you have put a ton of money into it already so keep whats good. Or you could just make the 01 a full time puller/racer and still get the 06 IMHO.

I'd say keep the 01. The 500 Hp+ club is something to be proud of. If you buy the other engine you could swap that one in there and rebuild the old one. That way you would always have a backup.

I wish I could keep the 2001 and get the 2006, but payments for my 2001 are $450 and payments for the 2006 will be around $650.
