Dodge Durango Common Rail

How would this be for a conversion? I was wondering how many people though this possible the future wife wants to do it and I of course said Hell yeah if possible. I was wondering if anyboyd have heard of this being done or someone attempting it. I was think a 2003 or newer Durango with a CommonRail 5.9 or maybe a 4bt not sure would rather have the CR 5.9. I was wondering what yall thought the cost might be and so on. Any info on this would be greatly appriciated. Thanks in advance Ben.

Expensive. You'd have to beef up the entire front end to be able to hold the weight of a 4bt, much less the 5.9. I don't even know if a 5.9 would fit in a durango.

how much metal do the durango and dakota share? when banks put the 5.9 in the "sidewinder", he had to move the firewall back a considerable amount.

I am talking bout the new body style durango which I am pretty sure are considerably larger than the older durangos. I do not think it fitting would be the problem, but probably finding springs to support the weight and all that jazz.
