Why would a CAI or DPF-back exhaust void the warranty on the 6.7L??

Other mods are going to present issues but I have faith in the aftermarket companies... FWIW, there are injectors out for the 6.7L.

I'd imagine that the 6.7L going into regular trucks will surpass your 291/554... afterall, they're rated at 350 hp and 650 lb-ft...

I'd imagine that depends on what warranty work you're trying to get done. Just because a dealership sells and installs aftermarket parts doesn't mean that Star will honor the warranty.
1.) Of course you won't read anywhere that the Aisin is going to have more loss than the 48RE, that's not what I'm saying...but it did. It might be a fine and dandy tranny and might be living up to it's expectations, but I'm still glad that I have the 06' because I bet mine will be cheaper to build than an Aisin for similar purposes.

2.) Intakes and exhaust would void the warranty because they would alter the emissions requirements of the vehicle. 2006 and prior diesels didn't have emissions guidlines. Ask yourself this...why is Ford claiming that if you even put a TIP on the end of their OEM exhaust, you will void your warranty? Because you will alter the way it's EGRs perform.

3.)There are injectors for the 6.7s and there will be many more mods for them...just because they will MAKE aftermarket stuff for the trucks doesn't mean that it won't void the warranty on the vehicle. They make pressure boxes, aftermarket turbos and modules for my truck which IF they cause the failure of my truck will void the warranty...but just so much as blink at putting one on a 6.7 and POOF, warranty up in smoke.

4.) I'd imagine a truck rated at 350/650 would surpass the numbers that I am at right now too...but to surpass what THAT truck puts to the ground will come with a MUCH heftier price than mine will, and I'd put money on that.

I wasn't trying to flame or start an argument...I was just saying that emissions guidlines now are nutty as a fruitcake and I am glad that I have the truck that I have for simplicity purposes.
