WOW!!! I can't believe my truck was chosen! This is an honor, as there are so many good looking trucks to be found here at DTR. I have to thank all of you here! Thanks to the "committee" that nominated my truck and Forest City Diesel for being a sponsor.
My wife was sooooo excited! I called her at work and she couldn't believe it. Then I had to call mom, she said it was a show winner when she saw it the other day. Gotta love mom!
Well, here is my story. I went down to the local Dodge dealer, Village Motors in Chelsea MI, to order my wife a Jeep Liberty. Well, I ordered the Jeep, but drove home in a brand new 03 Dodge CTD 2500 SLT. Boy was I in trouble, the wife was ready to KILL me! Things soon got better after she drove it though. She got that stupid grin, all is well now. Can't beat a country girl!
It's taken me around seven months to get my truck to where it is today. I told the wife I wouldn't go hog wild on the truck! She knows me better then that!
Here is what I have done so far:
6 inch Tuff Country Lift (Jack-It/Belle Tire installed)
Bilstein 5100 shocks (Jack-It)
SkyJacker dual steering stabilizer (Jack-It)
Leer 100XQ cap (Mid-West Truck Detroit)
Nasta SS nerf bars (Astro Truck Ann Arbor)
4" SS exhaust (Diesel Performance Parts)
AFE Pro Guard 7 System (e-bay, City Diesel)
Edge EZ (e-bay, City Diesel)
BFG AT KO 315's (Belle Tire)
Mickey Thompson Classic 17x9's (Belle Tire)
Brushed Aluminum Fuel Door (Dodge)
Chrome Bug Shield (Dodge)
Mud Flaps (Dodge)
Husky Liners (Astro Truck Ann Arbor)
That is most all of it, I am still shopping. Need to get some gauges and we are beefing up the tranny with a new converter and valve body.
I tell ya, this is one expensive web site to hang out at! Thanks to everyone for all of the inspiration!
Mike

I wish I would have gotten 2 CTDs, she gets a kick out of driving the Ram. But, her jeep is pretty cool. I dressed it up like the 03 SEMA show Liberty. Lots of mods on her ride. There is a picture of it in my member's photo gallery.

Hey there, congrats on winning, that is a nice looking truck you got there. I seen that you put a set of bilsteins on, how do you like them, they are quite a bit more $$ than other shocks I was looking at but I heard they are the only way to go. Have you noticed a big difference with them?

Thats a sweet truck for a non dually.
Seriously...a lifted red ram looks awesome.
I have Bilsteins with my T-rex suspension.
Very nice shocks.
Now I just gotta figure out a way to get lower profile, bigger, meatier and E rated tires on dually WLD RYD. I was going to go to taller tires but I still want to pull a 5th wheel.
Whoops I digressed.
Sweet ride!

Now, back to the topic of the thread.
Planejane,
I think they are hiring? All you need is a CDL and a 96 or newer tractor and like to travel!
Been driving for around 15 years, it is finally starting to pay off. I do remember those 100+ hour weeks and getting a $200 (that is hundred) dollar paychecks. Payed my dues, and probably shaved a good 10 years off my life, I hope it will all be worth it in the end.

Diesel_Kid,
Thanks for the comp!
Love the bilsteins! And yes, the ride is much better over stock, the valving is just right. I took her over some washboard the other day, barely felt it, very smooth.
As far as the price, I think I paid around $80-90 each. I don't think that was too bad for the extra long 5100 shocks. A stock 5100 replacement is around $60-70.
Oh, I see you are in Canada, yep, you will probably have to give a few more bucks up there. They are worth it though. They come with a lifetime guarantee, I have never wore a set out, or even
replaced them on my other vehicles. Put a set on and forget about them.
