I pull up behind a Nav at a light this afternoon in Charlotte. License plate is a NC plate that reads diesel I. This gets my curiosity. he makes a right turn, I make a right turn. He pulls into the turning lane, I put my window down and pull up beside him and sho'nuf it's a diesel!!! I don't know what it had but it was definitely burning oil! all windows were blacked out or I would have tried to follow him to check it out.
Just thought I'd share, it was pretty cool

 

wow, I was wondering if they made the expedition with a diesel engine....Im sick of a gasoline vehicle....I want my husbands truck

 

I wonder how much of a draw the diesel Nav would have? Most people buying these at that coin level you think they'd want a diesel? Or were they just testing it for the Expedition in disguise??

Could it have been a Diesel Excursion with a Navigator grill? I saw something yesterday they sell conversion kits for various Ford trucks.

 

Nope it was a navigator, Nav and excursion are slightly different in size. And everything about it was Nav.
I would have followed and tried to talk to him, but, around here you never know... If the windows hadn't been blacked out I'd at least gotten an idea of what sat behind the wheel.
I'll definitely be keeping my eye open for him again, I saw him less than 5 minutes from the house.

oh yeah, it didn't sound like any 6.0L I have heard so far.

 

I do not think you can do a Nav grille on a Excursion, an Expedition yes. Like trying to put a Dakota grille on a Ram.
