Well it looks like the warm weather is behind us (well MOST of us then there's that FiverBob guy and Mexstan)
and the year 2006 is rapidly drawing to a close.
Turkey day is upon us, and the Holiday season won't be too far behind.
Now before y'all eat yerselves silly on that huge holiday feast, give a looksee at the choices for our December TOM.
It's a day (or so) late 'cuz it takes a bunch of time to prep something this spectacular.
Dennis and I (the two slowest guys on a keyboard in history) have been hunt & pecking away to get this one ready.
Runner-ups from the past 11 months.

And YOU, that's right YOU the members get to pick the winner.

The winner that the membership selects will win a coveted place in the DieselTruckResource.com Truck Of the Month Gallery and a sweeeeet winner's plaque to hang on the wall courtesy of our TOM sponsor Keith Livingstone of Forest City Diesel.

As for the rest of the members, we still cruise through the forums each month looking for members and trucks to select as candidates.
We notice that many STILL don't have any pics of their trucks loaded in their gallery.
It's FREE to upload your truck pics, and No Pic, no chance at TOM.
Wash that rig, snap a couple of clear photos and give yourself a shot at that plaque.


There will be a Poll posted on the 15th of the month showing three thumbnail pics of the chosen trucks. By clicking on the thumbnail,,, you will see a larger picture of the truck. The owner's name will also be a link to their Profile Page where you can see the Truck Mods they have listed and also the link to their Gallery.

*NOTE* Now would be a good time to go into your profiles and make sure you have your Truck Mods listed. You can do this by clicking at the top of the page and then Edit Profile to put your info in. Nominees are chosen by the TOM committee based on category for that month and forum participation.

The winner of the poll will be posted as the Truck of the Month in the General Diesel section on the 1st of the following month, at which time we will send a PM/email notifying them and asking for their info so they can receive their plaque from Keith Livingstone of Forest City Diesel (our TOM sponsor, and the creator & supplier of those beautiful plaques). Argh!! I voted for the wrong truck. That will teach me to do anything within 10 minutes of waking and before coffee. Oh well, I still picked a nice truck. If it comes down to one vote, djbikeman should have got one more.

The burn out by black diesel gets my vote for sure. Any one who asks for request on vid just to get some grins deserves it.

 

TOM Committee, You guys did REAL GOOD giving the runner ups a second shot with this end of the year poll.....I like it! You just can't be any more fair than that!

 

I agree, Great Job TOM Committee! When I first became a member here I would always wonder who this Tom Guy was... then I realized its meaning and its a good idea. Nothing is more legit than an award from your peers.
