D/C Shop Manuals...
Where are you guys getting them? Here and there I've seen folks refer to the manual. Can I just pick one up at the local dealer's parts counter or is it something that has to be ordered? Since I plan on being buried in this truck (many years from now, I hope
), I think this would be a worth-while investment. Also, how much do they run $?- Steve

Cummins Northwest will have what you are looking for and it's not the little chiltons or waynes, it's the full meal deal! Up here the set will run about $225.00 in Alaska. Might be a little cheaper in your neck of the woods. Great book's! 8)

I got mine from the dealer. Two volumes. The second volume is 100% elecrical. Seem to remember that it cost me $90.

I just took a $10 chance on eBay and ordered the CD rom service and parts manual. They claim that everything you could ever need is in it. I'll report back after I receive it if anyone is interested.

If it's the same one I got, then you'll be very happy. Mine is an 85MB PDF file. It's very nice being able to print out what I need and just throw it out when I'm done. That way I don't have a greasy shop manual laying around.

I also just made a purchase of the service manual on CD from Ebay. It only cost $7.95 and that included shipping and handling. Hope I don't get a blank cd in the mail next week. It's worth a shot at that price.
