Cummins in a van?
Is there any change there could be a CTD in a Dodge van? I know of one for sale for $50 that has a bad trans. The guy says it has a 5.9L engine. The interior picture has a cowl that looks way bigger than the cowl in myu V8 Dodge van. It's a 94 model, with a Tommy Lift on the back.

Dodge never put a Cummins in a van... they had a 5.9L gas engine..
a 6BT would be tough to fit- it's longer than anything else they put in the vans and about 500Lbs heavier! but I would think a 4BT would be perfect... not too much heavier than the 5.9L, either...
I'm looking to get a '95-'99 Suburban K2500 to swap a 4BT into.. I had a conversion van that I considered, too, but I need the 4wd where I live..
noise would be an issue (always is with vans), but maybe get some more sound deadening if it's annoying...

I was thinking that. But I wasn't sure if 5.9 is a real number for gassers. I haven't been keeping up with gas for several years now. $50 would have been a dream come true for a CTD. I bet I could find a buyer for a block.

The should be worth more than fifty dollars in scrap value? tho if it runs it is worth $50.
