Cover up for 08 PSDs at TheDieselStop !

As you guys probably know, everyone is anxiously awaiting details on how the 6.4 PSD runs. Well, maybe not everyone, but some of us.

Anyway, the other day a guy comes on the site and starts a post called "08 dead on the side of the road with 577 miles". He said it was running rought and then it quit and the crankcase was full of fuel. He said something about an injector failing.

OK, no problem. Then today the guy comes on the site and says oh no, it was just that he got a tank of gasoline instead of diesel fuel. Except that when he originally told the story, he didn't say anything about it smoking like it would if it got gasoline. He just said it ran rough.

And how would gasoline cause the crankcase to fill with fuel ! Doesn't make sense !

So then someone points that out and the whole thread miraculously disappears ! That has to be the worst case of censorship I've ever seen.

So what was up with that truck ? Wanna bet that Ford has injector issues on their hands again ? Wanna bet that The Diesel Stop doesn't want people to figure that out ?

I don't care for the mannerisms of folks on that website, so I don't read too often on there. But especially, I don't bring thier issues (site-related, at least) over here...it's thier problem, why is it our also?

I just thought people might like to know in case they are looking at buying a new truck.

And now there is another one with a bad EGR valve. Of course they don't have one for it.

Well you can't have a thread like that posted about Furds newest 'Fiasco' series engine. Man the new engines are the biggest thing in those poor guys lives since internet ****. Just look at the threads and posts, there wanting those '08 Furds like hungry dogs at feeding time. To see something like that would break their little blue oval hearts.

Cover-up... well Ford has bet the farm on the new engine. It is a big forum, lots of people looking there for info. Bad news like that spreads fast and many potential truck buyers are a little skeptical after the 6.0, even a few early bad reports could really cool sales. Lots potential buyers hoping the 6.4 will be better but want someone else to find out first.

Question is who pulled the plug on the thread? The site admin? Maybe someone at Ford asked for, or called in 'a favor'. Or could have been the guy that started the thread. Maybe guys with dark glasses, black suits and driving black Excursions showed up and paid him a 'visit'.

The one thing to remember is.. that my guess is 90% of buyers in the market buy there vehicle due to commercials not research of the vehicle..

IE: I have freinds here at work that always ask me questions about vehicles ( I am the resident car guy) and I hear things like man those ford super duty's are so nice.. I hear such good things about them..

I step back and say FROM WHO?? FORD??

They say YES..

so no matter how much moderation or whatever takes place FORD will still sell that pieces of crap to the uneducated...

just the way it works..

if ya spend good money on good commercials you will sell your product..same reason why some motorcycle builders are famous and some are not..

i'll agree with that.one example is the toyota commercial where the truck pulls its load up this ramp to show it's pulling power then it tops out and starts coming down, and if you pay attention right away you can see that its picking up speed at a tremdious rate, but they only hold the shot for about 1/2 second then show the wheels for like 1/2 second then the ramp for like 1/2 second and so on until it's stopped.in real life there is no way that truck is gonna stop that load, but in the "commercial"it does, and they will sell lots of em because of it.

If you look close, you can see three different ford f250's on that commercial in the background. I'm surprised they didn't edit them out.
