Yeah I agree. Everyone is entitled to wear their own style but what's the point of wearing pants that you have to keep up by constantly gripping the crotch?

Ok so back on topic. I don't see to many stickers on trucks up here. Alot of those "pee on ford" or "pee on ____" stickers. What I do see more and more of is people wearing farming tractor clothes. We have a retail store up here called Mills Fleet Farm, it's like the Wal-Mart for rednecks. Well they carry clothing these farming clothe brands. I.E. Massey-Harris, JD, CAT, ect. It seems like alot of people are starting to wear these, some people you can just tell they don't know what a tractor is. But to each their own, i'd rather have them wear that than nothing at all. lol
Reminds me of the whole trucker hat fad that was around a few years ago.....all the preppy local kids were wearing them with their button down shirts and designer jeans.......

Yea we don't get to many people in the town I live in (1400 ppl) wearing their pants on the ground. You see more and more of that towards the big cities.

Since were on the subject of annoying things. I'd like to vent for a second, maybe this is even common in your area. What is the deal with all of these Ford/Chevy gas trucks running stacks? I mean stacks look killer when done right on the proper trucks, but im seeing TONS of mid 1990 trucks sporting these cheesy unthought out stacks. Some of the stacks are literally a foot 1/2 above the cab, some are not even functional. lol

I was at a stop light the other day and my girlfriend was in the passanger seat, out of the blue she just started lauging and I didn't know why. Well I looked over at this 2wd rusted to death Chevy S-10 that had a stack on it, or should I say a pole. This kid actually had a peice of piping from a fence for his stack, it was WAY over the cab and it had a nasty bend in the middle of it. He tried so hard to leave me in his dust, there was no way in heck I was going to ride behind him. Bless that guys heart, he about dang near blew up his engine, he was realy redlining that truck.

i don't have any cat stickers but i do have cat hats.because i have one.a 1953 d2.and not to get off topic but i will soon be getting a kindof badge of milestone proportions for my 92 gmc with 6.5td."500,000 miles".when i got this truck it had a 100,000 mile club sticker in the back window. i was at the dealers the other day and asked my salesman buddy if they still had stickers like that.he refered me to the chevy website and sure enough they have stickers for 200,000. a badge for 500,000 and a plaque for 1,000,000.like they will ever give out one of those.anyway i'm at 499,021 as of tonight. should be there by the 15th.

yeah i live up in houghton michigan (almost canada) and we too have some "cool people" that like to put stacks on their gassers and put mack bulldogs on their rusty ford rangers and the trucker hat thing is still here because this awesome place is way behind and we get some real winners with a rusty crap pile with a sound system in it thats worth more than their "pimp mobile" so yeah... and i wish i had my diesel conversion done so i could fill the cars like that and bless them with diesel fumes!!!!

"Just wondering why do people put decals of Cummins biggest competitor on their rig? Like front plates, big window decals etc...."

I'm curious, why do people install bigger injectors, exhaust, turbos, tires, lift their trucks, have their turbos make more noise, enjoy blowing black smoke, doing burnouts, and apply the assortments of decals degrading something/someone else .......?

When you determine the answer to these questions, my guess is, you'll have the answer to your question!

i think alot of it is trend. cat is good at marketing their name. John deere makes a killing of marketing their name. budweiser and corona as well. When is the last time you walked into walmart and everyone was wearing kubota t-shirts or natural light for that matter??
it is a oxymoron to have a competitors sticker on a truck that doesn't use that competitors engine, IMHO.

Some people just like to support certain brands kind of like sports teams or beer brands etc like pointed out previously I guess. Personally I figure those who need to know just know that is why my truck is debadged and when asked what engine it has I just reply "A little six cylinder." Oh well to each his own that is what makes us all unique right?

It used to really bother me when people would have a number 3 sticker (or some other Chevy driver's number) on the back window of their Ford truck. heck for a while there was a guy around here who had his Ford Mustang painted just like Dale Jr's #8, big BUD logos and everything. Just didn't make to much sense to me.

Now I just don't pay that much attention anymore, to each his own I guess.

Maybe I have some insight, I work for CAT, design engineer in lafayette, in. I have a co-worker who had a 3rd gen and put a CAT licence plate on the front of it. I asked him if he caught grief from people about it and he does all the time. He usually tells them, "Made by dodge, shaken by cummins, and paid for by cat" or something along those lines. I think its silly to do it but just shows respect for your employer. Wouldnt think too much of it guys.

Two C's in the back glass?

My buddy has a 3rd gen with a cat plate, and one cummins C in the middle of the back glass. I dont see a problem with it because when I think cat, I think "equipment", not just motors. Cummins only makes motors. I have a John Deere plate on the front of my truck. John Deere makes motors too, so is something weird about that? I live on a farm, and that is mostly what we run. Now if someone ran a powerstroke or duramax sticker/plate, yeah id be wondering what was going on.
