My buddy has a 3rd gen with a cat plate, and one cummins C in the middle of the back glass. I dont see a problem with it because when I think cat, I think "equipment", not just motors. Cummins only makes motors. I have a John Deere plate on the front of my truck. John Deere makes motors too, so is something weird about that? I live on a farm, and that is mostly what we run. Now if someone ran a powerstroke or duramax sticker/plate, yeah id be wondering what was going on.

I see you point. Good post.

Thanks, and I also forgot to add my buddy with the cat plate runs cat dozers, and pans every day for an excavating company, so that is his reason.

I run a caterpllar 627F everyday and work and other various CAT machinery and that is why I have a CAT license plate. Now on the other hand I see other people doing it that have never even been in the seat of cat equipment or been behind the wheel of a caterpillar powered truck then yes it is stupid. Just like all the 13 year olds that run around in john deere stuff. The other day I had a girl ask me who is John Deere and what does he do I was like ahhh??

I have a quick question. My plans are to swap a cummins in a 99 F250. Should I leave it badged as a PSD or put the CTD on there?

I'd go with a Detroit badge

Put the CTD badges on. I think it is awesome to see a ford with those because you know it's a sleeper

I don't think trucks with logo stickers necessarily look bad, but I just wouldn't do it to my truck. To me it's kinda like the Civic that has HONDA written in big letters all across his windshield and side panels.

Put on CTD! But if you don't like a lot of attention or don't want to offend Forders, then go with the PSD.

It's no different than putting a Harley Davidson or Raiders sticker on the truck. It makes you a member of the "club". It also makes you a walking billboard.

The Cummins decals all over the truck is the same thing. As though one isn't enough. Why is it so important that everyone knows you have something to do with Cummins? Is it really that important to alert everyone that you have a Cummins engine?

Debadge it and let the pipe do the talking.

Exactly, if the pipe or rattle doesn't let them know than they don't know what a cummins is anyway and won't care. I was getting fuel one day and the guy next to me was looking at my factory emblems and says... "duramax...is that some kind of special transmission?" even though it says allison transmission right beside it. Nice guy but he didn't have a clue and he was driving a diesel. The point is, emblems only mean something to a certain person otherwise nobody gets it and it's a waste of money.

I love my cummins stickers. Just think they look good, and i really like the cummins, so why not support them by running stickers? I like emblems and stickers myself as long as they arent taken too far. Some debaged trucks look good, but i will be leaving them on mine. I dont understand why some of y'all act like other peoples ideas are stupid. Not saying i have never made fun of what someone else has done, but we all have different likes and dislikes. Just have to respect that

Eric,

I don't mean to make fun of your enthusiasm. We're all very glad we have Cummins engines! And for good reason. I just don't care to advertize so blatantly, so I debadged. Maybe I'm just advertizing a different look. I do like how everyone does a little different treatment, much more so than with cars.

Now, where did I put those naked babe mudflaps? I need to install that "Baby on Board" sticker too. And where is that Rancho 9000 sticker? Yeah, that Cummins is cool, but I want a blue oval on mine too because I used to have a Mustang that I liked. Here we go.........

I would either pull of the PSD badge and leave it as is or put a Cummins badge on. I think it is ridiculously stupid to put a Cummins into a Ford and leave a "Powerstroke V8" badge on the door. Seen it at Lima earlier this year, and I wanted to pull them off myself.
