Talking Can't beat a $1.99 oil change!!!

got a coupon from a buddy of mine to a local dealership for a $1.99 oil/filter change. yes it is for diesels, says so right on the coupon. I couldnt believe it either until he put in my hand. he and his cousin had already been to the dealer and had theirs done. i guess its my turn and just in time, I was about to change the oil myself.

they are probably reusing the filters and the oil, just washing the filters out and straining the oil through a old shirt, for $1.99 you better watch what heck they are pouring in your truck, could be 5w30 or something.

Do you think they are even going through that much trouble...Out of one truck...right into the next...And still turning a $2 profit!!

Id stay away from the shop all together,it sounds like a scam and I wouldnt be surprised if they mysteriously found something wrong with your truck while they are changing the oil. Then of course they would help you fix it for a small fee

Why would they need to actually change it?

Most people wouldn't know if it was or not...

That is what I was about to say.... I have heard all the nightmare stories since I am in that business....

I charge I high price for my service and I don't apologize for it... I just do the best job with high quality materials.

Where on earth did you get that idea?

I'm the same way. I'll do it right, but it will cost you. If you want it real fast and cheap, call someone else.

i get coupons from our local dealer just about every 6k mls. for a 30 buck oil change and i've let them do it everytime now since it was new, because i can't buy the oil for 30 bucks. that way if i have a problem and its oil related i can point the finger at them and say y'all are the only ones who have changed the oil.
