Question cali driving

Well i read about the new diesel hating in Cali in diesel power a few weeks ago. and I am going to be driving thought cali in the next few days ( and i mean from Barstow to Oregon). I was just woundering if the cops have been giving any problems to us first geners. My sig. is up to date so any insite would be great

I don't think there is ever an issue anywhere unless you just constantly roll coal and cause too much attention.

I don't know as of late because I drive a stock 1993 mostly and my 1972 isn't your typical diesel and has a hidden turndown under the bed. The 1989 though, when the fuel screw was turned up a bit and I was commuting to SFO 100 miles I would roal the coal to fight traffic off but only once got a "smoke" ticket in the mail. Those are basically a joke because you do not need to respond. It is when a fellow motorist calls the 1800 number to report your vehicle as a smogger...



I think you can and will be pulled over if any cop sees you rolling clouds for a number of reasons, most common being impeding the vision of others. Drive sensibly in congestion/city areas and you'll be fine.
