I paid $140 for my kit, but I was stationed out on Guam at the time. It was a special order item for that dealer.

You do not need to go out and buy a kit to install lights on you cab, I replaced my existing ones on my truck using the new LED and all of the parts cost me under $40.00.

Find a dually and get the measurements off the cab and then make yourself a template trying to keep to the factory specs because the roof has an inner liner.

Or I am sure someone here will post the dimensions and some pictures of their cab.

You could either connect it to the factory harness or you could make your own harness and bring it down either pillar although I would prefer the drivers side to the passenger because it is a short jump to the light switch, I would also run a dedicated ground wire for the lights and not rely on the screw making its path.

At this time I also cut the wire from the light switch and connected it to the Term. #87 of a Bosch Relay with Term. #30 to the battery through a fuse.

The wire I cut from the light switch now powers the coil of the relay and the remaining coil terminal goes to a ground through a spring loaded normally ON toggle switch mounted high on the left side of the dash.
Now the total load on the light switch is only in milliampers instead of Amps.

This switch is used as my “ICC Flash”

For those of you who are unfamiliar, this switch allows me to flash all of my marker and taillights like you see the big rigs do after they change lanes.

Obviously your 2nd or 3rd Gen is going to be a bit different than my 1st. Gen but the idea is the same and you can save yourself a bundle of money if you do it yourself, also the lights are a lot better quality and are the same ones they use on commercial vehicles.

Also when you drill the holes in the roof, I placed several small Rare Earth Magnets around where I was drilling the hole and these caught almost all of the shavings from the drill so there was virtually nothing to pick out of the hole, this also keeps you from scratching your paint or having rust spots in your headliner.
