Bullydog Triple dog on Duramax?

My buddy has a 2002 2500 Duramax and I was gonna download my triple dog on his truck today to see how it would run but never got a chance too and I'm sure glad I didn't. I was messin around tonight and looked in my owners manual for the Triple dog and on the second page or so there is a big page on how you have to remove certain fuses on the duramax or else it will cause massive computer hardware faliure it says. Why is this? Man I would have hated to do it and screw up his truck. Any duramax owners on here know why you have to do this?

What year is your duramax?
It had 01-02 listed and I think 03-04 too.

Thats odd, I wonder why Bullydog put that in there, a quote from the owners manual said "catastrophic computer hardware faliure" if I recal correctly.

i have installed a few on duramaxes, never pulled any fuses, just do not play around with any electrical devices while adding the tune, make sure the most electrical devices are turned off prior

Yup I hear ya! I tried loading it on my buddies new 2005 LLY Duramax. Luckily I hadn't removed it correctly from mine, so I couldn't load it on his. So I went and read my manual again. It gives a dire warning about fuse removal or possible catastrophic damage on the Duramaxes. After figuring how to completely uninstall from mine, and correctly install on his, it worked. He went to the desert with his 15,000lb 5er for the weekend.
Come Monday he was wanting to know where to buy one.....HOOKED! Most people buy it after they try it.IMHO
