Which of the "Big 3" 3/4 and 1 ton diesels is most popular where you live?
We rode into Livingston in my Dads '01 1500 and I wasn't REALLY counting, but Ford was the most today EASY. The only Ram that stands out was a silver one with black fender gadgets and fancy wheels.
Saw a lot of GM stuff, but again unless it's going the same way it's not as easy too tell if diesel or not.

Around here it depends where you are. In the city I see alot more PSD and Duramax trucks. Now go out in the county and you'll find alot more Cummins than anything else (1st-3rd gen) and alot of older IDI fords.
Where I am at in southern indiana I see a lot of single cab 4x4 chevys running around, there are also a lot of stupid people running ford powerjokes here too. More and more of them are like me and are coming around to cummins though. I do see a lot of two wheel drive cummins duallies pulling campers heading south on the interstate, because they make most of the campers up in the northern part of the indiana and the guys that pull them use predominately cummins.
I still see more Fords around here but must be a lot of Dodge work trucks as we have a dealer that pretty much specializes in Dodge dielsel white work trucks and goes through them like candy....so someone is using them but not seeing on road.
I went through Huntsville on the way to Bryan on mostly two lane and kept a count.
More Dodge than Ford by almost 20 and more Ford than Chevy by 50ish!
A couple worth note: An F350 4WD Dually lifted at least 6" with a replacement front bumper assly. A Chevy 3500 Dmax with a service body.
Again, mant GM and MOST Ford are company trucks of one type or another. And many of the Dodges were pulling cattle or GN trailers.

Another day of making notes. The main thing to keep in mind is that there are more NEW Rams than new Fords or Chevys.
The were more Rams overall today, and for I think the first time I saw a Ford Hot Shotter with a roughly 30' 8 tire gooseneck. Almost all other gooseneck pullers are Rams with maybe one GM thrown in.

GMs are getting a bit more popular around here, but very few new ones. Most are a year to three old. And apparently GM aren't really proud of the D Max because it ain't much of a badge proclaiming the truck has one!
With the very newest (YUCK!) Fords, only way to be sure it's diesel is to see the exhaust. You can only read what it says in that funky chrome vent when you are going the same speed as or stopped next to one.
With Dodge it's SO easy....

Out in town there are more PSD. A few duramaxes here and there.
