Best Price for 2005?

Ok, getting my eggs together, what is the best price you paid.

The truck is going to be a 3500 SLT, SRW, Cummins, 6spd, Quad cab, 4x4.

Need some numbers to compare...

Thanks all....

I paid $37,000 for my 05 2500 laramie fully loaded (I will picking up soon!!) . I was also looking at a slt single wheel 3500 auto 4x4 quad cab shortbed. The sticker price was 43 something but they were looking to sell at $37,135. That was also the first initial offer they made us, I think they would have come back with something better if I pushed it. O by the way they are both 05 trucks. Im thinking you can get into something cheaper as many of the dealers around my area were looking to clear out alot of the 05 truck inventory

My buddy got a quote on fully loaded except leather 3500 auto just like you are looking at from Dave Smith Motors http://www.usautosales.com/ a month or so ago. After the rebates it was $28,500.
Check them out, they claim to sell more Dodge trucks than any other dealer in the world. They are hard to beat and can be used as bargaining chip with other dealers.

Ya gotta be careful. There are many Canadian Rams with warranties that are not honored here. Don't ever take a trade to Smith. I made that mistake--he gave me such a low trade price that I kept the truck. And he has a side street consignment lot for guys to get their price. Problem is he wants a piece of that action too.

Sticker on mine was $45k and some change. I think out the door I was at about 36k and some change. Not a bad deal considering the only thing I do not have is the sunroof.

I got a price quote today from Dave Smith Motors for a fully loaded 2005 3500 Laramie 4WD quad cab SB SRW...only thing missing was the sunroof and nav. $37963. Not too bad. By the way, very nice guys. I was on the phone about 10 minutes. Quick and easy. I'm going to hold out for the 2006's. I really want that REC double DIN navigation. whooooo daddy!

If you're going for an 05, with the body change coming up in 06 and being this late in the model year, invoice-incentives....no more. That's what I paid last month. You will have to take what they've got, or what they can find for you, but you should do well $$ wise.

Just check with us before you sign.

Well, I called all the locals to see what was out there. No white ones local, lots of 2500, and some duallys.
There was a silver one that had way more options than I was interested in paying for.

So, I asked them to fax me some more info, and a price.....

Told them I was only willing to let them have $33,000-$34,000 for any truck...

They said OK.... Now mind you this is a $42,475 truck and this price is before any dealer markup..

I am picking it up tomorrow, pending finance... $34,000
Ram 3500 4x4 SLT Quad cab.
Premium cloth power seats, etc. Sport appearance group, trailer tow group, heated mirrors, anti spin diff, Cummins, sliding rear window, fold away trailer mirrors, cd-cassette, and 7 infinity speakers, Forged aluminum wheels.

I get it delivered to me July 5th, on the way out of town... Is it time yet?

I added the extended 100 thou warranty, figured it was the same as fixing it on my own, just a little bit in the kitty at a time...

Now I need some goodies.....

I have to mention this, I pulled the dip stick, black oil..... This truck only had 200 miles on it..

Careful, depending on the "goodies" you get, it could void that extra warranty

How about new prices since the "new" deal in dodges? Anyone have any good deals that are better?

I just got back from Carlisle. A buddy of mine, who's in sales at a dealer in CT was there and told me they cut back on incentives when they started the employee price deal. Maybe some models are a better deal with the employee deal, but a desireable vehicle like our mighty Cummins????

You'd have to check Dodge's site to see what the incentives are in your area. I think they were $3500 around here prior to the new deal.

Remember your selection's going to be pretty limited in most areas this late in the model year.

Compared the dodge site to my truck price, I got a better deal than employee, unless you can get the options for free....
