What was the name and artist of the song that had the lyrics that went somthing like:
"...over eighteen tires that smoked and squealed, I had to rider her down, I couldn't break wheel or there'd be a big hole where that little town use to be"
??????????????????
Had it on a trucking tape when I was little. Wore out a tape and tape player playing that tape! The tape had Phantom 309, Teddy Bear, Looking at the World..., The White Night, Convoy, Trucker and the UFO and several others. Wish I could find that on CD.
Talkin about bringin back old memories!

But that song is about a Ford 460... Still a cool song though.
And the line is "build a big engine________ Buddy it'll never quit"
I like the Brian Burns I've Been Everywhere in Texas.

Heres a bunch. http://www.thetruckersreport.com/trucking_music.shtml "Hello, I'm a truck" Red Simpson.
Man you guys are bringing back some memories, this was about all I listened to growing up.
Just about anything by Dave Dudley, Red Simpson, C.W. McCall, I can remember more songs, but not artists.

For those folks who think that " six days on the road " is the sole property of Dave Dudley ( and rightfully so ) or sawyer brown, steve earle, etc. Listen to George Thorogood's version of it. He really did it right, considering its not really his style of music.
