Another "vote" for Maximum Overdrive. The Soundtrack for that movie is one of the best EVER. There is one song called "DT" (I think) that is just an instrumental, but kicks serious butt to me. Also "Who Made Who".

Best movie is Duel and then Smokey and the Bandit. The uncut version that is with all the juicey language. Jackie Gleeson made that movie what it is for sure being Sheriff Bufford T. Justice of Texas.

Oh yeah! absolutely number one, Duel is one of the scariest and most suspenseful movies ever made with such a minimal cast.... LOVE THAT BUMPER!!!

My number two fave is the 1998 movie Black Dog, with Patrick Swayze and Randy Travis as good guys, Meatloaf as a VERY bad guy (eminently hate-able!) and a drop dead gorgeous hunk of a Peterbilt Conventional with that almighty Cat engine..... cute dog too! and Randy Travis' good music for the score.

WAY back when I was little I remember something about a possessed D-12.... fer the life of me can't remember the movie title, or if it was like Twilight Zone or something..... Now THAT was spooky!

AC/DC was in charge of the complete soundtrack. That movie haunted me as a kid, but a great film and that rig that I would love to see someone recreate (maybe out of a Pete or something; however I do give full props to the original Mack).

there was a bus somewhere over east of cincinnati about 25 miles or so back in the country that was painted almost like that clown semi from maximum overdrive, i remember seeing it setting in a guys yard, it was his camper or something. mine are convoy, smokey and the bandit #1, white line fever, black dog, maximum overdrive, duel, few other movies.

The Duel movie was all filmed pretty much in my backyard. Here's a short vid of me passing through the famous tunnel from the movie last week http://youtube.com/watch?v=xaGuTvzjfh8 Oh oh, I got one nobody has mentioned yet, The Great Smokey Roadblock with Henry Fonda!!

Yes, and pretty much the whole Soledad Canyon area is un-touched from then.

I have that one on DVD. It's kind of rare, I think my copy came from overseas.

DUEL !!!!!!!! I swear i thought i was the only one that knew about that movie till i saw this!! Ive got it on DVD, i remember seeing it on TV when i was young and thought i had finnally found my dream movie!! One of the original duel trucks is still alive to this day. I think some guy in CA owns it, theres a website out there that describes the whole thing, not sure what its called, but i think its easy to google.
