April Truck of the Month
Cattlehauler (Ricki), Shovelhead (Ed), and I, Dieseldude4x4 (Joel) are happy to announce the selection for April Truck of the Month. With the growing number of rigs posted in the Member Photo's section, this decision gets more difficult every month.
This month, the honor goes to the pristine red truck of a member of Virginia DTR Chapter #7, our own John Porterfield (JohnP). This truck was selected based on it's superbly clean condition both inside and out as well as the extra goodies John has packed under the hood. This is one sweet truck and is a real crowd pleaser wherever it goes. John is a fine fellow and I am glad to have him as a member of Chapter #7.
You can see more pics of this truck in the Member Photos section on page 1 under Dyno Day November 2002 BMD file, page 19 under the TOM file, and I believe page 23 under Virginia DTR Chapter #7 Meeting Scrap Book.
From the DTR TOM committee members, congratulations JohnP and keep up the good work.
See John's truck in the pic in my sig below.

Re:April Truck of the Month
Congratulations John P.
I only wish I could keep a vehicle as clean as John, but then I would have to put mine in a vacuum sealed garage at home. I know for a fact that he doesn't do that and I can tell you from experience,,,,,,,, A RIDE in John's truck will open your eyes to the unbelievable kind of power you can get out of a Cummins and still have a dependable daily driver. I've rode shotgun in this truck and watched the red hood ripple at 120mph while listening to the turbo trying to suck the glove compartment door through the firewall. This truck takes off like a rocket and gets to top end quick! ;D
I had goose-bumps on my arms when I got out of the truck,,,, and it won't from the air conditioner!
