Anyone see the DuraMax in DP this month?
Guys we lost another follower to the duracrap. My buddy just bought a brand spankin new 06 ext cab in Decatur, TX for 29k out the door. I have a feeling this is going to be the trend unless Dodge drops prices and gives us back the old warranty. He traded in a single cab 02 4x4 dually because he wanted a "more comfortable ride". I have another friend whose been talking about trading for one out of a 02 ext cab 2wd with almost 300k on it
I have to ride in chevy's almost everyday at work in the summer but I can't make them believe that they are plastic rattle boxes and that the cloth seats are terrible for circulation to the anterior region
. What is happening to our fellow dodge owners?

Nothing to get upset about, the fact that Ferd and Cheby are both about to go into the "red" is reason enough for any true diesel buyer to go with a CTD. Im sure as hell not going to go buy a product that is on the verge of falling of the "real" market.

Just this morning on NPR, indudstry expert talking about how DC was in trouble too. Sorry I can't be more specific, I only caught part of it. Sounds like Dodge isn't exactly sittin in the catbird seat. A lot of the units they make they are losing money on. American manufacturers start off with 2000- 2500 disadvantage due to ? insurance and "fixed benefits" Not trying to offend anyone, I don't know much about the industry, just what I heard on national public radio. Even discussed possibility of Daimler selling chrysler. ????

GM is not near bankruptcy but their not doin to good.
As far as money and sales wise, I believe dodge is on the low end of the 3. Neither companys is doin very good but I mean how many people can afford a 33k regular cab truck.
That was the price I was offered in Spetember with the employee pricing. It was 06 inferno red, loaded, 6 speed cummins. Now that price has dropped to 28k last I heard.
I'm really thinkin about goin back up there and gettin the truck but man I would have to have it on 6 years (still 500 a month) but the only other thing around here is a 03 Sl 4X4 6 speed 62k for 22,500.

KVD, I guess you haven't been following the financials for the last few years then, on huge pension shortfalls, healthcare issues, falling market share, merger fallout, Kerkorian issue, and stock valuations with GM either.
Sales wise Daimler/Chrysler has made higher profits overall, and higher per vehicle profit than GM for at least the last few quarters, even though GM trucks cost more than Dodge, Furd. All big 3 are losing market share to foreign companies.
Price is also dependent on market conditions, and vary from region to region, and dealer to dealer.
