Anybody else get one of these from Dodge?

I got a fancy letter from my Dodge dealership where I bought my truck about what they call a "Premiere Event" at the dealership on August 15th for 3 hours. It didn't really say what it was all about, although I suspect it's to unveil the '08 models. Like I said, the letter was pretty fancy and is obviously being sponsored by Dodge corporate but I couldn't find out any more information about it online and so I don't know if it's limited to just certain dealers. I'm gonna go though because they are giving away 7 cars apparently and besides, I want to see the new Rams.

I got a letter as well. I tossed it cause my selling dealer is a 5hr+ drive, but it is in Las Vegas!

I got one, I think all the dealers are having the "event" or at least the 5 star dealers. It would be sweet to win a new truck even if it is a gasser.

I get those letters all the time. They are probably not even from the dealer directly. They are just a marketing strategy. Mine usually says something like " your truck is a highly sought after model and there is a high demand for used vehicles" we will give you top value for trade, ETC. ETC. Dont waste your time.

I got one like that. I went down there, and tried to make a deal with them for a new truck, and they were like, nah, you are asking too much. I broke the letter out, and said, "But, you guys asked me to come down here... said you'd make me a heck of a deal!" I was not serious, but I had some time to kill, and wanted to drive a couple of new trucks. They ended up almost selling me one...

I have gotten a couple and they offer 20% to 25% over book trade in value. Yeah, right, minus $100 per mile over what they say is too many miles and for every other little thing they can find. Then you are supposed to fall for their sales pitch and pay top dollar for a new one.

Got one from the dealer here is Houston where I get the truck service. I figger the number of new vehicles given away is nationwide. Your odds of getting struck by lightning are better, but if I had the time I would go.
