another idiot to try the bag trick
i got bored so i thought i would try the bag trick. found out it is a waste of time and a plastic bag. i didnt drive it anywhere though. idled too rough so i took it off.
now my air filter is all mangled.
it had started to suck it into the intake where the hose connects to the filter, thankfully it didnt tear.
not doin that one agian.

if I scratch my head real hard, in one spot long enough, I get the idea he was tryin to make his truck smoke ?????????? suckin that bag clear through tot he turbo would do it for sure !

Yeah, cutting off the air to the turbo will make it smoke like mad. Bad stuff usually happens, and the air filter comes apart, or what ever you use to block off the air comes apart, and you just bought a new turbo.

the bag trick is, if you put a plastic bag over the air filter and drive the livin heck out of the truck, it is supposed to really smoke. but as soon as it started crushing my air filter i stopped.

I saw a guy at a detail shop do that to a nice BHAF setup... Bagged it to keep water from getting the filter wet. He then started it to drive into the shop and the truck died....
Opened the hood and the filter was crushed. I am glad it wasn't me!
