96 PSD with TS performance chip
96 PSD with TS performance chip
A good friend of mine put one of these chips in his truck but has had nothing but trouble with the tranny slipping. The tranny was rebuilt not that long ago and when the chip is removed she is as good as gold again.
I was wondering if any of you guys had any experience with this particular product and maybe had some suggestions about what might be the problem.
All I can think of is the Tranny is on its way out AGAIN but was looking for confirmation.
Is there anthing that can be changed in the tranny to correct for this problem?
Any thoughts would be appreciated

I have heard from alot of guys with 96-98 trucks that the tranny can't hold the chips output.. THere is a ranch around that has a 97 350 4x4 with a deck and its on its 5 th tranny, they have finally givin up on the chip.
I don't know if they were running TS, but a similar product. I am not familiar with the trannies, but you could surf the Ford diesel pages to see what is good.

There are a few rebuid guys out therer that will hold up to any chip or anything else you throw at it. The best on the market right now is the BTS e40d. Pretty much the last time he will ever rebuild it, does cost like 3500 though. Brianstruckshop.com
