Years ago I had a 77? 78? dodge 250 4x4 van. It was a conversion from Pathfinder. The front hub bearing set up looked the same as the 2nd gens with the D60. I was running 35" tires and would keep breaking the hub just aroung the nut area that holds it on. I was told you could use everything from the knuckles, spindles out to convert to conventional hubs and no more full time front end. Definatly be worth looking into. The current setup sucks IMO.

I was going to try to do that myself, but the cost of the parts was too much, so I just spent a little more and got the entire axle from a 95 F350, got me some brackets off a D44 ram axle and some new brake lines, the axle is hi pinion with 35 spline inner shafts, and no CAD unit, I hear thats the weak spot for bending. Plus the brake calipers are 2 piston and alot bigger looking than the dodge ones.
